The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA) provided $900 billion in new COVID-19 relief funding and was signed into law on December 27, 2020. Title III of the CAA, entitled Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, introduced a new $15 billion grant program to be administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) enacted in March of 2021, provided another $1.25 billion to the program. This program offers critical support for the nation’s performing art venues, movie theatres, and museums.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) provided approximately $10 billion in support to U.S. airports experiencing severe economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 public health emergency. HEERF Guide for COVID-19 Relief Funding for Higher Education Facilities

Through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) signed into law back on March 27, 2020, the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEER or HEERF) program was created. GEERF & ESSERF Guide for COVID-19 Relief Funding for Elementary and Secondary Schools

The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA), signed into law on December 27, 2020, provided an additional $81.88 billion in new COVID-19 relief funding to the Education Stabilization Fund. Then, a mere few months later on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law providing an additional $122.77 billion in additional funding. The funds continue to be allocated to two types of grant programs which include the Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund (ESSER or ESSERF) and the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER or GEERF).
